Greg started Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA, with Nicholas I. Andersen in March of 2010. Greg has many years of legal and tax experience working with clients on a wide array of transactional issues. Greg is an experienced problem solver with the ability to assist clients with their most complex needs and the ability to communicate with his clients in plain English. Greg values personal relationships and is client focused.
Greg concentrates his practice on individual and business planning, including business succession. Greg’s areas of practice include estate planning and wealth transfer (estates, probate, and other probate matters), business, employee matters, real estate, retirement planning, taxation, and taxpayer representation. Greg was named to the 2016 Columbus CEO’s Top Lawyers List.
Nicholas I. Andersen, Shareholder
Nick started Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA, with G. Gregory Arenstein in March of 2010. Nick has extensive experience with litigation matters, business, employment law, and representing taxpayers in collection actions.
Nick has a diverse background that includes representation of individual and business clients at bench trials, jury trials, and contested hearings involving a myriad of legal and factual issues. Nick was named as an Ohio Rising Star in Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine in 2007, 2011, and 2018. Nick was named to the 2015 and 2016 Columbus CEO’s Top Lawyers List.
Eric R. McLoughlin, Associate
Eric R. McLoughlin is a native of Worthington where he continues to live with his wife Laura and daughter Marin. Eric has many years of experience representing clients in estate planning, probate, general business, real estate, and litigation matters. He has a strong passion for helping people with their legal matters and strives to provide all his clients with the personalized service they deserve.
From 2010 to 2013, Eric was of counsel to Arenstein & Andersen, Co., LPA. During this same period, Eric was the supervising attorney of the Capital University Law School Small Business Clinic where he assisted clients with the formation of for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations and taught students about the practical aspects of representing small business clients by supervising their work on the clients’ matters. Eric joined Arenstein & Andersen as a full-time associate attorney in July 2013. Eric was named as an Ohio Rising Star in Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine in 2015.
Jessica L. Sohner (née Samuel), Associate
Jessica joined Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA as a full-time associate attorney in March 2015. Jessica has years of experience representing clients in probate, domestic, and general civil matters, including estate and trust administration, will contests, juvenile custody and child support actions, divorce, dissolutions, and adoptions. She believes in providing quality representation for clients while maintaining sensitivity to their individualized needs during stressful litigation.
After graduating in the top of her class from Capital University Law School, Jessica went on to work for Capital as a Staff Attorney within the Franklin County Domestic Court. Most recently, she worked as an associate at a firm providing services to clients in probate, juvenile, and civil litigation matters.
Anthony D. Pezzutti, Associate
Anthony joined Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA as a full-time associate attorney in October 2016. He has years of experience representing clients in criminal defense, estate planning, domestic relations, and general civil matters. He believes in building strong personal relationships with clients, working diligently to ensure each client’s specific needs are met, and providing honest and reliable legal counsel.
After graduating from Capital University Law School, Anthony set out as a solo practitioner and has represented clients in the Franklin County Municipal Court and the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. In addition to representing his own clients, Anthony has assisted litigation support firms on complex antitrust, EPA violation, and breach of contract matters.
James W. Park, Of Counsel
Jim has been working in the area of personal bankruptcy since 2005. He began practicing as an attorney solely in the area of personal bankruptcy in 2007 and continues to focus mainly in the areas of Chapters 7 and 13 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Jim understands that financial distress is so common today, and so he strives to provide clients with the respect and understanding that they deserve while helping them through their difficult times.
Kathleen A. Hanley, Of Counsel
Kathi joined Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA as of counsel in October of 2011. Kathi is retired and living in Tucson, Arizona. Kathi serves as a valuable advisor to the firm and assists with continuity of service to long time clients that she advised prior to her retirement. When she is not helping the firm she is busy hiking, biking, and, generally, just enjoying the Arizona sunshine.
Shelley D. Fischer, Office Manager
Shelley joined Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA as a legal assistant in October of 2011. Shelley has a degree in English from The Ohio State University and has been assisting lawyers for several years. She is the voice you will hear when you call the main office line and the first face you will see when you walk into our lobby.
Joseph A. Downing Co., L.P.A Of Counsel
Arenstein & Andersen Co., LPA and Joseph A. Downing Co., L.P.A. formed an “of counsel” relationship in May of 2014 to better serve clients of both firms. The relationship also reconnects Greg and Nick to Tipp City, Ohio, where they both practiced at the beginning of their careers.

Joe started Joseph A. Downing Co., L.P.A. in December of 2007. Joe has extensive experience representing clients in estate planning, probate, business, real estate, elder law, and Medicaid planning. Joe prides himself on his ability to build long term, trusting relationships with clients and to assist them with their short and long term legal needs.
Joe concentrates his practice on estate planning, including special needs planning, elder law, including Medicaid planning, business law, commercial and residential real estate, and probate, including administration of decedent’s estates and guardianships.
